Abstract： In this talk, we first give an introduction to the blow-up phenomenon of Liouville equation with cusp singularities. We then prove the Moser-Trudinger inequality on a compact Riemann surface via the method of blow-up analysis. If time permits, we will discuss some work related to Liouville type equations.
