Abstract：In this talk, we will present our recent results on the  symmetry of Riemann-Finsler spaces.  The main topics will include affine symmetric Berwald spaces, locally symmetric Finsler spaces, globally symmetric Finsler spaces, weakly symmetric Finsler spaces, geodesic orbit spaces.  We will show that there is no intermediate stage between weakly symmetric spaces and globally symmteric spaces.
