Title：Abelian duality space and smooth complex projective variety

Abstract：It is known that a complex smooth projective variety X is homotopy equivalent to a real torus if and only if X is isomorphic to an abelian variety. A real torus is a special case of so called 'abelian duality space', introduced by Denham, Suciu and Yuzvinsky recently. We will introduce the basic properties about abelian duality space and prove the following generalized claim: a complex smooth projective variety X is homotopy equivalent to an abelian duality space if and only if X is isomorphic to an abelian variety. This is based on a joint work with Laurentiu Maxim and Botong Wang.
