摘要: In this talk I summarize some recent developments related to topological string theory from my own perspective. After a brief introduction to the topic, we discuss two aspects of recent developments. Firstly, we report progress on computations of topological string partition functions on compact Calabi-Yau manifolds, in particular on a class of elliptic fibration Calabi-Yau manifolds. These techniques provide computations of higher genus Gromov-Witten invariants for compact Calabi-Yau threefolds. Secondly, we explore an amazing connection with non-perturbative effects in quantum mechanics systems.
