报告题目:  Roth's Theorem and its development

摘要：The talk will begin with Roth's theorem which states that 

any subset of integers with positive density contains nontrivial 

3-term arithmetic progressions. Then we shall give a short survey

on the development of Roth's theorem including works of Szemer\'edi, 

Heath-Brown, Gowers and Green-Tao. Finally, we discuss the Hasse principle 

to a system of diagonal forms.
