内容提要：

In this talk, I will introduce Finsler geometry to the general audience, which includes the most fundamental concepts and examples, like Finsler metric and Minkowski norm, Randers metric and navigation process, flag curvature and S-curvature. I will also introduce the most recent progress we have made in this field (very very sketchy), like the study of CW-translation, CW-homogeneity and CK-vector field, the classification of positively curved homogeneous Finsler spaces, piecewise flat Finsler geometry.
