I will present a framework of embedding strategies using a notion of sub-linear expander first introduced by Komlos and Szemeredi. Among others, I will discuss its application in recent resolutions of a conjecture of Mader in 1999 on clique subdivisions and a conjecture of Komlos in 1981 on Hamiltonian subsets.
