摘要：In the 70s and 80s Parshin and Beilinson introduced the notion of higher dimensional adeles for quasicoherent sheaves, 

and proved that the cohomology of the associated adelic complex coincides with the sheaf cohomology. In this talk we give a brief 

survey of this theory as well as some recent developments, such as certain reciprocity laws on arithmetic surfaces.
